Isn't "harm" a function of what the people who are listening think about what you are reported to do?

20:52 by anarchivist - A fundamental way newspaper sites need to change | Holovaty.com

So much of what local journalists collect day-to-day is structured information: the type of information that can be sliced-and-diced, in an automated fashion, by computers. Yet the information gets distilled into a big blob of text -- a newspaper story -- that has no chance of being repurposed. Let me clarify. I don't mean "Display a newspaper story on a cell phone." I don't mean "Display a newspaper story in RSS." I don't mean "Display a newspaper story on my PDA." Those are fine goals, but they're examples of changing the format, not the information itself. Repurposing and aggregating information is a different story, and it requires the information to be stored atomically -- and in machine-readable format.

My big weekend project. Ingests RSS/Atom feeds about archives, spits out RSS/Atom/OPML/FOAFroll. Yum.

12:01 by LionKimbro - Gathering Highlights Power of the Blog - New York Times

"As became clear from the rather large and diverse crowd here, the blogosphere has become for the left what talk radio has been for the right: a way of organizing and communicating to supporters. Blogging is nowhere near the force among Republicans as it is among Democrats, and talk radio is a much more effective tool for Republicans."

08:40 by LionKimbro - Coming of Age: An Introduction to the NEW Worldwide Web

An excellent introduction that can help older teachers understand what's going on in IT. If a teacher started his or her studies based on this, they could very quickly get up to speed with what's going on.

Hilareous title. I see it now: "The Coming Technological Blogularity!" Or Ray Kurzweil: "The Blogularity is Near!"
